The tools I use at work, in independent projects, and in my homelab.
I've used EC2 and RDS to host an application on AWS and have some Azure experience. I'm currently learning Terraform in my homelab. My infrastructure work also includes networking, storage, endpoints, remote access, and backup/disaster recovery.
I use Python with Selenium, requests, and APIs for browser and HTTP automation, including reusable functions, session handling, and error handling. I also use Bash for scripting and systems administration.
My enterprise work uses JavaScript, ColdFusion, and APIs for responsive applications. Recent independent projects use Node.js, TypeScript, and Fastify. Java and C#/.NET are additional programming experience from university and selected later work.
I use SQL and ETL in enterprise systems and SQLite in independent projects. I've used Grafana for VPS monitoring. My Splunk use is limited to specific log investigations.
I work through requirements, architecture, UI/UX, APIs, relational data, testing, deployment, and documentation. I also support what I build in production.
I check application code, data, database behavior, operating systems, DNS, networks, firewalls, and dependent services. I learn unfamiliar tools as needed and keep investigating until the evidence supports a solution.
